Our Team
Kimberly Berger
Go! CoordinatorVolunteers
Kimberly Berger
Go! CoordinatorAs a former missionary in East Africa, Kim now gets to use her passion for missions as our Go! Coordinator. She helps oversee and coordinate ACC’s Go! Adventures, as well as help connect our church body to those we partner with around the world.
She and her husband have three daughters, but they often have other kids in their care as foster parents. When Kim isn’t chasing children around, she enjoys baking cookies, reading, and spending time with her family.
Brittany Cerino
Interim Worship DirectorVolunteers
Brittany Cerino
Interim Worship DirectorBrittany has the privilege to serve as our Worship Director. She oversees our worship team, which leads us in praise every Sunday morning. If you do not know Brittany, you can tell who she is on stage because she’s the one who always seems to lose her shoes before she goes on stage.
If Brittany isn’t at the church doing worship-related things, which isn’t often, you’ll most likely find her hanging with some friends, spending all her money at TJ Maxx and Old Navy, or eating some food with no gluten in it. (very weird, but we won’t hold it against her). We are excited to have Brittany’s hard work and dedicated spirit on our team.
John Chenery
OverseerVolunteers
John Chenery
OverseerJohn and Susie have been married since 1983 and are blessed with three daughters and three grandchildren so far! They have been active partners and leaders at ACC for 16 years, serving on a variety of teams, but with a sustained focus on the Men’s and Women’s Ministries.
Both are Army Veterans with John retiring here in 2004 after 23 years of service. He is also recovering from the last 20 years as a local entrepreneur, and looking forward to seeing what the Lord has for them in the next 20 year cycle!
John is just now learning that he is supposed to have a hobby! So, currently those include grandkid shuttle driver, family time and watching movies with popcorn. As a couple they enjoy Bible studies, camping, e-bike riding and any time at an ocean!
Katie Crosby
Children's Ministry Assistant in Family MinistriesVolunteers
Katie Crosby
Children's Ministry Assistant in Family MinistriesKatie serves as our Children’s Ministry Assistant, which is a perfect fit for her love of children and passion for teaching little ones about Jesus. She’s got a fantastic southern accent from her good ol’ Kentucky upbringing, and she dotes on her three adorable cats almost as much as she does your children on Sundays. Outside of ACC, she enjoys trying new restaurants, baking, watching her favorite shows, and spending time with her hubby and friends.
Tom Carter
Campus Operations ManagerVolunteers
Tom Carter
Campus Operations ManagerTom is our Campus Operations Manager. He oversees our day-to-day operations and functions of the campus and grounds. His primary duties are ensuring that the building is operational and functioning excellently. Tom loves to make sure that ALL who visit the campus will feel welcome and invited, especially on Sunday when we worship together. He loves spending time with his wife, Julie, and taking long rides on their motorcycle in his free time. Tom and Julie always love to spend time with their children and love a good vacation.
Becca Evans
Executive Assistant for Adult Ministries & ACC Students CoordinatorVolunteers
Becca Evans
Executive Assistant for Adult Ministries & ACC Students CoordinatorBecca serves in a couple of different roles on our amazing staff. Currently, she is our temporary youth coordinator. She is hanging out with students from 6th-12th grade and teaching them about Jesus and some of them about deodorant. She is also serving on our staff as our Executive Assistant for Adult Ministries. This has her helping with organizing ministry events from growth courses to our men’s and women’s ministry functions. In Becca’s small amount of free time, you can find her recovering from keeping up with the students, painting, and hanging out with her family.
Jess Ferrer
Children's Ministry DirectorVolunteers
Jess Ferrer
Children's Ministry DirectorMeet Jess, our fun-loving and passionate Children’s Director. She’s on a mission to share God’s truth and love with everyone she meets. Jess’s journey didn’t start with faith in God, so she understands the importance and power of sharing the Gospel with even the littlest ones.
Offstage, Jess effortlessly wears the hat of a loving mom to three amazing daughters and a dedicated wife, humorously tolerating her husband’s unwavering dedication to The Cowboys (she’s a Giants fan). Whether she’s juggling ministry or family life, Jess’s enthusiasm and genuine faith shine through. Jess radiates positivity, creating a friendly and encouraging atmosphere for everyone she meets. Beyond her roles, Jess finds joy in cooking delightful meals, spending laughter-filled moments with friends, and diving into the pages of the Bible.
Mack Ferrer
Executive Pastor of OperationsVolunteers
Mack Ferrer
Executive Pastor of OperationsA former Air Force veteran, Pastor Mack serves as the Executive Pastor of Operations. In this role, he applies his unique talents to ensure that the church adheres to its vision in various operational areas, including Finance, HR, Administration, First Impressions & Next Steps, Facilities, and Local Missions Outreach. Mack’s dedication extends beyond operational tasks; he harbors a deep passion for reaching out to those who are either unchurched or seeking a deeper understanding of following Jesus. Drawing from his own experiences, including his military background and personal faith journey, he is particularly committed to supporting military veterans who are grappling with PTSD, TBI, and addiction, helping them find the necessary resources and support.
In 2007, Mack married Jessica, his best friend and most ardent supporter. Jessica plays a crucial role in his life, encouraging him to rely not just on his own strength, but to approach life and full-time ministry in partnership with Jesus and as a united family. Working alongside Jessica in full-time ministry brings Mack great joy, as they share a united vision and complementary strengths, enhancing their service and impact. The couple is blessed with three beautiful daughters, known for their creativity, adventurous spirit, commitment to service, and just the right amount of sass! They also have a beloved blonde Golden Retriever named Judy and a resilient three-legged cat, Merle. A fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Mack also enjoys coaching volleyball and is a frequent patron of Mission BBQ. Mack loves to spend time outdoors, engaging in activities like hiking and traveling, and he is interested in taking up hunting.
TJ Garman
Production DirectorVolunteers
TJ Garman
Production DirectorTJ serves as our ACC Production Director, overseeing all audio, visual, and production elements of our Sunday worship and special events. He also leads teams of volunteers serving in audio engineering, lighting, camera operations, live streaming services, and more. You’ll always be able to find him because he only ever wears bright colored clothing. (He actually only owns all black.)
When he’s not at ACC you’ll probably be able to find him spending more money on camping or music gear. You might also find him enjoying the great outdoors, hiking, camping, and fishing. Let him know your favorite spot, but only if there’s actually fish there.
John Hare
OverseerVolunteers
John Hare
OverseerJohn, a lover of prayer & worship, was dedicated to the faith as a toddler. He freely admits, however, that he really gave his life to Christ at age 30. He is grateful for the grace of God and how the Holy Spirit has been his guide and friend.
John enjoys sharing the gospel with anyone who will listen! An Evangelist from the heart, John held a ministerial ordination under Harvest International Ministerial Fellowship. Now, John and his wife, Marsella, have been partners here at ACC for 12 years, where they serve together, providing resources for hope & healing in Anne Arundel County and the Greater DMV.
Charlotte Jarvis
Creative Media SpecialistVolunteers
Charlotte Jarvis
Creative Media SpecialistCharlotte is the one behind the scenes, creating the graphics and videos you see on social media or during Sunday services. Aspiring to be the next Wes Anderson, who knew Charlotte’s experience in film would land her in ministry? God did!
When Charlotte isn’t behind the computer making our graphics and videos, you’ll likely find her spending time with her husband. While Charlotte likes to go on hikes and spend time outdoors, she doesn’t consider herself outdoorsy. Maybe “outsidey”, at best. So don’t ask her to go camping…unless it’s glamping. If you are having trouble reaching her, you can bet she’s got a mug of hot tea by her side, probably playing Zelda or watching Harry Potter.
Seth Jarvis
Administrative Operations ManagerVolunteers
Seth Jarvis
Administrative Operations ManagerSeth is our numbers guy. He balances our books and makes sure the creative team has a lot of money to spend on toys!
Fresh out of the Army, Seth had his sights set on the tech world. But God had other plans and thank goodness for that!
When Seth isn’t crunching numbers, you can bet he’s playing video games or board games! He’s definitely a game sommelier.
Angela Johnson
Engagement Ministry AssistantVolunteers
Angela Johnson
Engagement Ministry AssistantAngela serves at ACC as the Engagement Ministry Assistant. Angela and her husband Brian are the Stephen Ministry Leaders at ACC, and when they are not training new Stephen Ministers, you can find her sharing God’s love by volunteering her time at church and within the community.
A mother of three, and in April 2024 promoted to GiGi (Grandma), she loves spending time with her family and especially with her granddaughter. She loves to take weekend getaways with her husband and explore seaside towns along the East Coast, Kennebunkport, Maine and Ocracoke, North Carolina are two of her favorite destinations. An avid NY Yankees fan and lover of East Carolina University athletics (GO PIRATES!) even though her athletic ability equates to strolling through TJ Maxx searching for bargains, her love for Yankees Baseball and ECU sports has her cheering loud and proud on game days. On any given Sunday at ACC when baptisms take place she will be cheering too- GO TEAM JESUS!!!
Melody Kriewald
Children’s Ministry AssistantVolunteers
Melody Kriewald
Children’s Ministry AssistantWith a background as a Rehabilitation Counselor for teens and adults with special needs, Melody has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of love and faith and is passionate about helping others discover the hope and joy that can be found in a relationship with Him. In addition to serving as an ACC Kids Ministry Assistant, Melody is a full-time wife & mother of three beautiful children, and can often be found indulging in one of her many hobbies such as crocheting or reading. She also loves being outside whether it be for gardening, tending to her chickens, or just some old-fashioned front porch sitting.
Rachel Lunde
Director of CommunicationsVolunteers
Rachel Lunde
Director of CommunicationsRachel has the distinction of being our shortest staff member. While you may not notice her on Sundays wearing all black and stealthily taking photos, trust us, she’s there! In her free time, she likes to dance, put lots of cinnamon in her coffee, bake desserts, read, and (of course) spend time with her daughter and friends.
Liz Mason
Children’s Ministry AssistantVolunteers
Liz Mason
Children’s Ministry AssistantChildren’s Ministry Assistant is the perfect position for Liz as she has served with kids in the church since she was a child. Her husband would say her experience with children is how she’s been able to survive being married to him for over 20 years. A bit of a kid at heart herself, she’s always had a bit of a sweet tooth and can’t hear any upbeat music without wanting to dance. As a mom of 3 boys and a baby girl, her life has been anything but quiet but she’s always been surrounded by love (even if she just wants 5 minutes of peace and quiet every now and then).
Michael Miller
Executive Pastor of Worship ArtsVolunteers
Michael Miller
Executive Pastor of Worship ArtsMike serves here at ACC as our Executive Pastor of Creative and Worship Arts. He oversees all things creative, including; Sunday services, media, marketing, worship, and all the teams that make these happen at ACC.
While he isn’t at the church, which isn’t often, you’ll most likely find him in the woods. He claims he’s hunting, but we all know he’s really just sleeping in a tree somewhere. While he’s not out missing shots at big bucks he’s spending time with his wife and daughter. In addition Mike always enjoys a good time camping, fishing or taking those Sunday naps after church. We all know those hit different.
Michelle Miller
Executive Assistant to the Lead Pastor & Church Events CoordinatorVolunteers
Michelle Miller
Executive Assistant to the Lead Pastor & Church Events CoordinatorMichelle serves at ACC as our executive assistant to our lead pastor. This means if you need to get a hold of Pastor Matt, she’s your gal. Michelle also oversees and executes our church-wide events, such as our VIP Party, Party in the Parking Lot, and more! She’s our go-to person for anything related to balloon arches.
Michelle has an obsession with plants. She calls it a hobby. Her husband calls it a problem. You’ll likely find her with a fresh cup of coffee or a Celsius in her hand while taking care of her family. As a wife and mother, she is kept very busy. This doesn’t stop her from making some of the best wings in town.
Mike Montgomery
Student PastorVolunteers
Mike Montgomery
Student PastorPastor Mike’s heart is to teach the truths of God and partner alongside parents in the discipling of their teens so that they don’t only walk with God through their middle school and high school years, but rather, for a lifetime. He is often found with his nose buried in the Bible and theological books, worshiping, and leading others in worship.
Pastor Mike grew up in the greater Philadelphia area and is a die-hard Philly fan. He has been married to his lovely wife Emily since 2014 and they love to play games, go to amusement parks, and spend time with their dogs: Chloe and Leo. He also has a love of good food and will happily point you in the direction of the best spots!
“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:24-25)
Matt Ousdahl
Lead PastorVolunteers
Matt Ousdahl
Lead PastorAs the Lead Pastor at ACC, Matt helps to cast vision for ACC and it’s various ministries. He loves to teach God’s Word to others, encouraging them in their faith journey. The most rewarding facet of his ministry? Being able to share Jesus with people and watch God change their lives for the better.
Even more than being a pastor, his favorite titles are “husband” and “father”. He married his wife, Melissa, in 2002, and he is adamant that she is the smartest and prettiest girl in any room. Together, they have three daughters: Michaela, Madelin and Molly.
Matt grew up in California, but moved to the East Coast in 1999. He enjoys being around people, especially family. Travel, In-N-Out Burger, Texas Hold’em, and improvisational comedy are among his top favorite things.
Melissa Ousdahl
Home Education & Women’s Ministry CoordinatorVolunteers
Melissa Ousdahl
Home Education & Women’s Ministry CoordinatorMelissa is quite the multitasker at ACC! As the Home Education Coordinator and Women’s Ministry Coordinator, she’s the dynamic force behind many events that support homeschooling families and women throughout the church as they pursue Jesus together.
Married to Matt and proud mom of three daughters, Melissa’s life is a beautiful blend of faith, family, and fun. (Alliteration for the win!) When not coordinating, she’s diving into books, tackling escape rooms with her husband, and kickstarting her day with a protein smoothie. After graduating from Liberty University with a degree in English Literature, Melissa attended Longwood University for a Master’s degree. Melissa’s sensitivity adds a heartwarming touch to everything she does – don’t be surprised if you catch her shedding a tear as she embraces the beauty of all that God has done!

Outreach CoordinatorJohn Schaaf
Executive Pastor of Discipleship and CareVolunteers
John Schaaf
Executive Pastor of Discipleship and CareJohn is our Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Care at ACC and oversees some of the amazing ministries that take place here. This includes everything from our men’s ministry (BACON!), women’s ministry, growth courses, discipleship, care ministries, and our incredible LifeGroups. He’s a bit crazy for Jesus! If you’re not in a LifeGroup, John’s the guy to get you plugged in because everyone needs to be connected with community.
When asked about his favorite hobbies, John’s response is, “The best hobby is the next hobby.” Some past activities include scaling large chunks of stone, running from insects, collecting copious amounts of books and tools, and sitting in the hot sun for hours watching a white ball (aka rock climbing, bee keeping, buying/reading books, woodworking/fixing things he broke, and baseball games). And if he can get either his wife or three kids to join in, all the better!
Meggin Schaaf
Director of EngagementVolunteers
Meggin Schaaf
Director of EngagementMeggin is our Director of Engagement, and she oversees all those smiling faces that are greeting you on a Sunday morning, from the parking lot to the auditorium. Additionally, she’s there to help when you’re ready to take a next step in your faith.
During Meggin’s personal time you might find her talking to plants (We promise…she is perfectly sane!), roaming thrift store aisles with her family for hours on end, or outside hiking the trails (But only with her husband, since her three children find this a pointless activity when there’s a perfectly good sidewalk to use).
Joey VanDaniker
OverseerVolunteers
Joey VanDaniker
OverseerJoey is a blessed father of four and husband to his wonderful wife, Melissa. They homeschool their children. Joey loves activities in which the whole family can participate. Going to waterslides and the beach are some of his top favorites.
Melissa and Joey have been married 13 years and have grown together in their walk with Christ. After living in Boston for almost 6 years, once they had their first child, they decided to move back to Maryland, their home state. After attending another church for some time, God led Joey & Melissa to Arundel Christian Church in early 2021. They both feel blessed to serve at ACC and enjoy growing their relationships with fellow believers.

Mike Wagner

You can typically catch Mike somewhere in Severna Park, at campus life or supporting the students at their various sports, and definitely on Friday mornings at bible study. His passion for the kids and the ministry stems from how YFC impacted him as a high school student.
