So, two weeks ago, Pastor Matt started the “Greater Things” series showing where ACC has been, tracing its history from a small group of people meeting in a home to a congregation of 360 people who bought the building we are currently in at 710 Aquahart Road. Last week, his message showed the present-day situation of ACC, having grown from that group of 360 to a group of ~800 people meeting as a large church about to tip into the very large category. He also discussed how the church is called to be both deep (strong roots) and wide (witnessing, getting new members), but that ACC is doing better at the width than the depth and needs to pay more attention to how to help people develop stronger roots when the church is getting so big that it’s hard to get up close and personal.
This week, he will share “Where We’re Going,” the vision for the future.
