Today Pastor Brian gives a message titled “A table-turning God.” We have already learned in this series that God is behind everything. To turn the tables means to change an advantage to a disadvantage, or vice-versa. Sometimes we face opposition or overwhelming circumstances and have to respond. With God, a right response can create a reversal which leads to rejoicing. This is what we see in the last two chapters of Esther. This chapter also shows the explanation behind the Jewish holiday Feast of Purim, which reminds us to set apart time to rejoice and be with one another. God was going to bring Jesus, no matter what plan Haman devised, because His plan included you and me!
