Today we will get to see our new Youth Pastor, Chris Comstock, give us the next message in our Truth and Dare series. Pastor Chris will be talking to us about how to share our faith with other people in a message he calls “The Power of the First Move.”
It’s hard to share our faith with other people who might not already believe in Jesus, and with this message we will see a biblical example of how Philip shared his faith in Christ with a eunuch. (If you remember from a previous message last year, a eunuch is a man whose gonads were removed so that he could not produce the hormones that make men aggressive–eunuchs were trusted to serve queens and manage money because they had no aggressive desires.) The story of how Philip obeyed God in order to bring the eunuch into faith in Jesus is the basis for the whole message.
